Real Estate in Costa Rica: Benefits You Can Enjoy in a Beachfront Property

If you’re looking for a new or second home, whether it’s a home for a well-deserved R&R, or a home to retire to, you can’t go wrong with affordable real estate in Costa Rica. In fact, if you’re trying to find a location away from the bite of winter, close to the arms of nature, and right in the middle of a tropical paradise, it’s about time you check out new property listings in Costa Rica.

In the last few years, oceanfront properties in Costa Rica have been bought and sold in droves. Hence, while browsing through listings you might want to consider beautiful, beachfront homes, still popular for very good reasons. So, although beachfront homes are priced higher than their non-beachfront counterparts, the following perks of living close to the shore make them worth the investment.

Investment value and stability

When you put in a hefty sum for a home, it’s important that you choose a property that won’t significantly depreciate over the years. Most property experts regard beachfront properties as valuable investments because they are rarely affected by the fluctuations of the real estate market. However, should prices drop and your beach home lose some of its value, rest assured that it would be one of the first properties to regain its footing, and eventually, appreciate again.

Therapeutic sights and sounds

Imagine falling asleep while listening to rhythmic waves and waking up with the sunrise on your face. As you check out the Costa Rica MLS for beachfront homes, you will not only be amazed by the gorgeous photos, but also be happily surprised with the prices. Take note that the lovely scenery in the background of a luxury home’s infinity pool is even better in real life. Everything that meets and pleases your eye here is mostly Mother Nature’s work of art.

Glorious sun, swimming, and sand

Of course, let’s not forget all the fun activities that are only a stone’s throw away. After stepping out of your home, you’re free to swim, surf, fish, or sail to your heart’s desire. Or you could prop up your personal umbrella chair and catch up on your reading.

Indeed, a beachfront property in Costa Rica can be your little piece of heaven on earth. Just remember to work with an established real estate company like Dominical Real Estate to ensure a smart and smooth home-buying experience.

beachfront home in Costa Rica said:

I've been looking at vacation homes in Costa Rica and focusing on Guanacaste since the airport in Liberia is nearby and has good flights.

There are a lot of places on the coast where you can buy a beach house or a home a few minutes walk to the beach or with a view of the ocean.

I'm looking from Tamarindo up to Papagayo. Some of the places that look good include:

- Four Seasons at Papagayo, you get the Four Seasons but it's pricey

- The Palms, beachfront homes on Playa Flamingo

- Reserva Conchal, more resort like facilities

- various individual homes eg around Tamarindo, with access to the town

Does anyone have any thoughts on these various options?

We have been talking about investing in beachfront property. It was cool to learn that beachfront property can ensure that you can swim, fish or surf whenever you want too. I hope this article can convince my family to look into beachfront property. http://www.jimmycarroll.com

I like how you mention that when you put in a hefty sum for a home, it's important that you choose a property that won't significantly depreciate over the years. My husband and I take vacations to the beach a lot, so I think investing in a beach property would be a good idea for us. Those types of homes never go out of style and would not be hard for us to sell should we decide we don't need it anymore. Thanks for sharing!

I like your point about how stable the value of a waterfront home is.  I love how sunrises and sunsets look over water and would love to have a home where I can see that every day.  I'm thinking of buying a waterfront home later this year.

I hadn't thought about how relaxing the sound of the water would be while falling asleep. I have been wanting to buy a new home and I hadn't thought about choosing waterfront. I can see how it would be nice to try it, because it might help me fall asleep easier at night.
