Saul Rasminsky - Owner / Broker
I am a Canadian originally from Toronto and I first visited Costa Rica in 2004. I was on a surf trip with friends and I realized that this is the place where I am meant to live. It has been my full-time home since 2005. Before moving to Dominical, I lived in Vancouver, BC for 10 years, where I began working in real estate. I started Dominical Real Estate in 2008 after spending several years developing and investing in land in the Dominical area. I have very extensive knowledge of the area and the real estate market and I enjoy sharing that knowledge with everyone. My goal is to help people make the best investment as well as to find the perfect home or property so they can enjoy Costa Rica as much as I do!!!!!

I was born in New Jersey and grew up in New Jersey, New Hampshire, California, and Massachusetts. I started the University at New England Conservatory of Music studying classical guitar and composition and then finished in a dual degree program with Tufts University graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Immediately after graduation, I switched to computer engineering and ultimately built my own software company which I sold to Computer Associates in 1993.
I was introduced to Costa Rica in 1989, bought some land here in 1990, and found myself returning so often that by 1996 I made one of the best decisions of my life - to move to Costa Rica permanently. I started my own real estate brokerage and spent many of the early years developing communities, building spec houses, and growing the brokerage. After 20 years of running my own real estate brokerage, I joined Saul’s in order to do what I like best – work with people to help them discover the soul of Costa Rica and then help them find their place in it.

I'm from Richmond VA originally but have spent time in many other states and countries. I earned my B.S. degrees in business and justice studies at North Carolina Wesleyan College in Rocky Mount, North Carolina in 1998. After college, I lived overseas for 3 years in Australia, and the Virgin Islands, before moving back to the United States and immersing myself in real estate. I spent 13 years working for Remax Elite and Reliant Realty in Nashville TN as a real estate broker, and team leader. I helped manage one of the top 10 real estate teams in the state, and have helped negotiate over 500 home sales.
I have been visiting Costa Rica since 2001, and my wife and I made a permanent move to Costa Rica in 2015. And we haven’t looked back! As well as being a real estate broker, I also own and operate a property management company here in Costa Rica.
As simple as it seems, I believe my greatest strength as your guide to real estate and all things Costa Rica is my ability to listen and translate what I’ve heard into the best solution for you. I don’t want to sell just any property, I want to help you find the right one!
Every day I still learn new things from the locals. I get excited whenever I find a new species of insect or animal in our community, as well as enjoying all the local fruits, the ‘Tico’ cuisine, their customs, and their language. I am truly living the Pura Vida life, and sharing the newfound knowledge and excitement with my friends and clients.
What makes me happy, is making people happy. I love exploring, and have many more destinations on my travel bucket list. But for now, I indulge in Costa Rica. The Costa Ballena in particular. And I love it and love to share it.
Truly feeling at home will make memories that stay with you for a lifetime. I want to help you feel at home in our "little slice of paradise.

Born and raised in downtown Toronto, Canada. I have been a licensed real estate agent in Toronto for the last 17 years and continued my license in Toronto to this day, so I am able to market the Costa Rica properties of my clients to the 3rd largest real estate market in North America. I have lived in many cities over the course of my life but when I first came to Costa Rica specifically the area of the Southern Pacific in 2013. I fell in love.
The amazing people I met the high quality of life and what I thought were great deals on the property all pushed my wife and me to sell our Toronto properties in 2019 and buy a rundown hostel in Dominical which is now operational. This has freed up my time to jump back into real estate representation which I am very passionate about
Learning and loving more and more about this area every day. I am thrilled to be the guide for so many of my friends, family, and past clients and hopefully you as well. Reach out to me to have your questions answered regardless if you are just gathering information or ready to move. We are here to help!
